You may want to key your TV on a very low volume around Amazon Echo. A news station is in a bit of trouble after they ordered dollhouses across San Diego.

If you’re not familiar with Amazon Echo, there’s a digital assistant named Alexa living inside the device who can most internet ready tasks like set appointment dates or playing music. When a station in San Diego ran a story on a little girl ordering a dollhouse via Alexa, they also ordered dollhouses across San Diego by continually prompting Alexa to buy a dollhouse.

The station knew they were in trouble when a few days later they started receiving emails of people complaining about the dollhouses now in their shopping carts and on the way to their homes. Amazon has said that you can return any product that was accidentally purchased via Amazon Echo, but you’re better off moving Alexa away from the TV, just to be safe.
