Iconic Canadian actor, and a good friend of KiSS 92.5, Alan Thicke has passed away after reportedly suffering a heart attack.

TMZ reported that he suffered the heart attack while playing hockey with his son:

We’re told Alan had a heart attack while he was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter. He was transported to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center around noon today, and pronounced dead there.

Alan played hockey regularly at a rink in Burbank. We’re told he and Carter were on the ice around 11 AM when he started having chest pain, then got nauseous and vomited. The ambulance picked him up around 11:30 and took him to the hospital.

A statement from Alan’s PR team read:

Alan’s sudden passing has been confirmed.  At present, we have no further details. We appreciate your interest and when we have additional information, we will make it available.

Alan was the lead actor, Jason Seaver, on the iconic 80’s series Growing Pains. Anyone who watched this show, would tell you he was one of the best TV dads…ever.

He’s had several roles since then, including on the Fuller House reboot and recently appeared on the acclaimed This Is Us.

Alan is survived by his sons Robin, Brennan, Carter and his wife Tanya.

Anyone else ready for 2016 to end?

Rest in Peace, Alan.
