It’s finally here!

The Weeknd has released his brand new studio album Starboy.

The album features the lead single and title track, ‘Starboy’; one of his two collaborations with Daft Punk on the record.

In an interview with Vman.com, The Weeknd spoke about what we could expect on this latest record, “I’ll touch on my relationship with religion a little bit and how it ties into my crazy and materialistic life. I’ll touch base on some recent experiences and past experiences that didn’t make the last album. I wrote some of these songs while recording Beauty Behind the Madness. It’s like a fictional book inspired by true events.”

He added, “There are new inspirations on this album…I think it’ll be the best-sounding album I’ve ever done”.

Prior to the album’s release, The Weeknd released a violent and intense music video for another Starboy record, ‘False Alarm’.

Prior to the album’s release, The Weeknd sat down for a rare interview and spoke with Zane Lowe of Beats 1 to discuss a number of issues including his decision to cut his hair, his struggles with holding onto his sobriety and his performance anxiety.

Starboy is the follow up to his widely successful 2015 album Beauty Behind the Madness , which featured the singles, ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ and ‘The Hills’; the album was nominated for seven Grammys, of which he won two.
