It was 10:10 PM.  After waiting a little over three hours for the main act, Kiiara finally performs … but performs ONLY 5 songs, which lasted a total of 30 minutes.

@kiiara is bringing that tonight at #TheHoxton

Along with Kiiara on the Low Kii N Savage AF Tour, she had 2 opening acts; Lil Aaron and Cruel Youth.

For Lil Aaron: 1.) His mic was horrible, you couldn’t understand what he was saying and used too much auto tune. And 2.) The BIGGEST distraction of them all .. HIS HAIR!  Every 2 seconds he continuously played with his long, green-coloured hair on stage.  I ended up paying more attention to his hair rather than his own performance.

Cruel Youth: Although it was a bit odd seeing their band members (minus lead vocalist Teddy Sinclair) set up on stage in front of everyone, the crowd seemed to love them and considering it was my first time seeing the band live, they weren’t too bad!

And now … Kiiara

It was already 10PM and Kiiara still hadn’t performed yet.  The crowd was beginning to get restless.  There was no sign of her and from my understanding, the show was behind.  After having everyone wait 3 whole hours, Kiiara approaches the stage.

Although the crowd waited for what it seemed like forever, as soon as Kiiara hit the stage, she had everyone singing and dancing.  And when she sang Gold, the crowd just went wild.

I like Kiiara! Her music is dope and as an artist, she’s very talented.  Was I upset about her performance? Myself along with many others, yes!  Was I a fan of her opening acts? NO!  It was very disappointing as a fan and audience member to know that she only sang 5 songs which lasted 30 minutes, there was barely any interaction with the audience and when the lights went back on, everyone stood around looking confused, in hopes she would do an encore.  Her performance felt rushed and it’s a shame because I would’ve liked to have heard more from Kiiara.
