Grown-up child rapper, Shad “Lil Bow Wow” Moss, is retiring at the age of 29. The man who played Calvin Cambridge in the 2002 summer blockbuster, Like Mike, took to his Twitter today to reveal that he Got Rich, so now its time to Stop Tryin’.

The announcement by Snoop Dogg’s nephew was not received well by the Internet. The collective reaction by the World Wide Web was to say, “what? Bow Wow was still rapping?” or an emphatic, “IDC.”

The Twitter hate is strong right now, but how can we all forget one of the greatest sport related songs in the history of rap!

And that one time Shad and Snoop Dogg teamed up to say Bow Wow’s name a whole bunch of times:

Moss will keep busy during his retirement. He’s working on a few television shows and he’s going to keep acting. As Uproxx wrote, Moss is trying to “pick up where ‘The Arsenio Hall Show’ left off.” He told the publication, “I learned so much [hosting 106 & Park] to the point [where] I will have my own late-night show coming. I get to run my own show content etc… We will have the best producers and showrunners in the game! Music will play an important key to the show. I want to help the culture and this is my way of giving back to the game that made me!”

And if you’re worried about never hearing a new Bow Wow song ever again, all five of you can stop worrying. Moss has one more album in the vault that will come out this year. It will be his retirement gift to the world. He wrote on Instagram, “My last album will be Executive Produced by my uncle Snoop and myself. Since he brought me in the game, its only right i involve him and end it with him. ITS OFFICIAL!!!! THIS SH** BOUT TO BANG ON MOMMAS! And we aiming and im talking RECKLESS on this album. NOBODY SAFE”

I hope more people care about his last album than they did about his retirement…
