We’re giving three Seneca Radio Broadcasting students the chance to gain on-air experience at KiSS 92.5 as part of the GenNOW Internship program.

For 12 weeks they’ll broadcast on-air overnights from midnight – 2am only on KiSS 92.5!

Meet Kayla!

Hey! My name is Kayla and I’m from Mississauga, born and raised. I’m Italian and the owner of two very cute Shih tzu’s, Zoe and Bella. I graduated from York University in October ’14, majoring in social science. I love to laugh and love when people make me laugh because, well, life is too short to frown. My likes include going to the gym, reading a good book, playing video games, cooking, baking, scented candles and dogs. My dislikes consist of slow drivers and people who don’t use blinkers.

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a strong, everlasting love for Hip Hop and RnB music. Growing up, both of my parents introduced me to the sounds of RnB and Soul and eventually I found my own way over to the Pop side (and YES, I still remember every word from BSB, Spice Girls and New Kids on the Block J). However, just because I grew up around the sounds of RnB and Pop doesn’t mean I can’t rock out to country or sing along to rock. I like everything!

I’m currently enrolled in the Radio Broadcasting program at Seneca College (York Campus). My love with radio began in elementary school when I first listened to KISS 92.5. I just remember how happy I was whenever I tuned in, listening to my favourite announcer and the feeling I got when I heard myself on the radio. My goal was to always make people happy, knowing I could be that friend on the radio they would tune into to listen and I still hope to accomplish that goal one day.
