J.T. Gaskins, Cancer Survivor, Suspended For Growing Out Hair For Locks Of Love Donation calls ROZ & MOCHA

A teenager who battled leukemia as a child has been suspended from school after growing his hair because he wanted to donate his locks to charity. Gaskins was suspended from Madison Academy for having hair that did not comply with the school’s rules for how long boys can grow their hair. But Gaskins is sporting the shaggy hairdo for a very specific reason. As a leukemia survivor, he is determined to donate his hair to Locks of Love.

A Minnesota high school principal is apologizing for a pep rally prank earlier this month in which blindfolded students were surprised to find they had kissed their parents in front of hundreds of classmates.

Rosemount High School Principal John Wollersheim said the prank had first been done about six years ago and wasn’t controversial.

Not this time. A one-minute video of the smooches has gone viral, including posts on Facebook and YouTube, where it’s been reposted three times and received 33,000 views by Thursday evening.

In the video, the captains of several winter sports teams were lined up along a wall of the gym opposite another line of students. The captains were blindfolded and told they had to guess which student kissed them.

However, the students were swapped out for the parents of the athletes. Some of the kisses lasted several seconds. In the video, the athletes who were tricked appeared surprised, but not angry.

Wollersheim released a formal apology on Tuesday after receiving about a dozen emails or calls from upset people inside and outside the district. If you want, want the video here.. have you ever done something as creepy for a school prank?

As announced on The Roz & Mocha show this morning, Rogers Media properties have once again dominated the Toronto Sun Readers’ Choice Awards with 15 wins in the television and radio categories.

KiSS 92.5 took top spot as Toronto’s favourite radio station, with KiSS DJs Scott Fox, Dave Blezard and Roz Weston winning in the favourite radio and sexiest personalities categories, respectively. Plus, KiSS 92.5’s The Roz & Mocha Show was named Toronto’s best morning show.

For the 18^th consecutive year, Citytv was named Toronto’s favourite television station ahead of competitors CTV Toronto, CP24, Global Toronto and CBC Toronto. Beloved Citytv personalities Gord Martineau, Dina Pugliese, Kevin Frankish, Frank Ferragine and Kathryn Humphries earned top billing as Toronto’s favourite TV personalities in various categories.

In sports, Humphries was named Toronto’s favourite sportscaster with Sportsnet’s Jamie Campbell taking home the bronze.

The most loved celeb of all time, Kermit The Frog, was in Toronto to talk about his new movie ‘The Muppets’, and Maurie sat down with the legendary frog in this interview not to be missed.

Every single one of us has grown up to LOVE the Muppets, so to hear that they’re back just makes me all warm and fuzzy!

The Muppets, staring Amy Adams and Jason Segel, brings the return of  Kermit & Miss Piggy!

In a story where The Muppets get the help of three fans, they must reunite to save their old theater from a greedy oil tycoon. This awesome, funny, touching perfect movie was the brain child of Hollywood favorite Jason Segel, such a great story and Jason did a great job with the script.

It was more then an honour to sit down with THE Kermit for a chat that will not soon be forgotten. The Muppets opens this weekend, do the family a favor, and go see it!
