Forbes Magazine has released it’s list of Top-Earning Musicians list…The princesses of pop have dethroned the queen sooner than expected — at least in terms of earnings. Britney Spears came in at number five on Forbes’ 2010 top-earning musicians list while Lady Gaga came in at number seven — both ahead of Madonna who ranks eighth in earnings.

According to Forbes, number-five Britney earned $64 million, 24-year-old Gaga raked in an estimated $62 million while Madonna earned an estimated $58 million.

Also topping the list is Beyonce at number three — higher than her man Jay-Z who ranked six — making her the highest-paid female musician with a net of $87 million.

1. U2 – $130 million

2. AC/DC – $114 million

3. Beyonce – $87 million

4. Bruce Springsteen – $70 million

5. Britney Spears – $64 million

6. Jay-Z – $63 million

7. Lady Gaga – $62 million

8. Madonna – $58 million

9. Kenny Chesney – $50 million

10. Black Eyed Peas – $48 million

I guess celebrities will do anything to get paid. Did you know that now they can get some serious cash for tweeting about a product?

Celebrities are indeed raking in cash to tweet for companies, including Sony and Nestle. And if you want to know just how serious the business of paid tweeting has become for celebrities, wait till you read how much they get paid per post.

Kim Kardashian and Soulja Boy both earn that amount every time they tweet for cash, (Kardashian recently did a tweet like that for Nestle, says Sean Rad, CEO of the company.)

That’s considered top of the pay scale, at least right now.

Other stars like Greg Grunberg (who donates his paid tweets to charity) earns in the four figures per paid tweet. And a host of still more stars also have signed on to tweet for money, including Nicole Richie, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendra Wilkinson, Joel Madden, Lo Bosworth, David Spade, Whitney Port, Tom “Draco Malfoy” Felton, Audrina Patridge, Channing Tatum and many, many more.

The pay per star tweet may go up in coming years, too. Top celebs like Brittney Spears or Diddy could earn up to $20,000 per tweet, should they ever get started doing that.

Of course, if the stars were smart (or had smart accountants), they would have to claim every dollar to the tax man!
