Well, we all know 2011 was not a good year for Lindsay Lohan, right?

2012 was shaping up to be a little better for the troubled starlet. Insiders said Lohan would be starring in an upcoming TV movie about the late Elizabeth Taylor. That might not happen. Find out who she’s up against for the role after the jump.

Apparently LiLo has competition. Gossipcop.com is reporting Megan Fox is also being considered for the role. The executive producer of Lifetime’s upcoming Elizabeth Taylor movie told E!:

“I’ve been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox.”

Lindsay Lohan began 2011 right where she left off 2010: in rehab. After an extended stay, Lindsay left the Betty Ford Center in early January, but her legal mess — which stemmed from a 2007 arrest — was still not over as the troubled starlet was still on probation. Pics and more after the jump.

Immediately after she was released, reports surfaced that Lindsay might have been under the influence while at Betty Ford — but that was nothing compared to what came in February: Lohan was charged with felony grand theft for allegedly stealing a necklace from a Venice Beach jewelry store. Lohan allegedly walked out of the store wearing the necklace and didn’t pay for it. Whether or not the move was deliberate — and why she didn’t return the necklace right away — became points of debate in the subsequent legal battle.

In April she was sentenced to jail after a judge ruled that she was in violation of probation — but the charges against her were reduced to a misdemeanor. She was ordered to serve 120 days in jail and to serve 480 hours of community service. In May, Lohan pleaded no contest to misdemeanor grand theft, but was not given an additional sentence.

Instead of going behind bars, Lindsay served her jail sentence on house arrest in a posh Venice Beach pad for about 35 days, as sentences for non-violent offenders are almost always reduced. While on house arrest, Lindsay was seen hosting parties for friends and her monitor device went off — although she blamed it on an alcohol-laced tea. Hours after the house arrest ended, Lindsay was off clubbing.

Although she was supposed to be hunkering down and logging community service hours, Lindsay spent most of the next few months partying and traveling for various photoshoots. When it came time for a progress hearing in October, Lindsay’s probation was revoked after a judge heard that she’d been kicked out of one of her community service programs for non-attendance and hadn’t complied with other scheduling terms.

She eventually admitted that she violated her probation in her DUI cases and was ordered to serve 30 days behind bars — although she only was in jail for about 5 hours due to overcrowding. The judge ruled she must serve the remainder of her community service at the morgue, and as of December, it was reported that she was in compliance and actually ahead of schedule.

As of December, her big comeback plan was centered on a nude Playboy spread, for which she was paid a reported $1 million.

Lindsay Lohan was reportedly paid $1,000,000 to pose nude for Playboy.  Now the entire spread has leaked online and Playboy is scrambling… Hugh Hefner tweeted this earlier today:

“Because of the interest & the Internet leak, we’re releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early.”

According to TMZ, Playboy printed a ton of extra copies in anticipation of the demand for the issue. There are fears the leak could significantly damage sales of the magazine … which is expected to be the best seller of the year.

Lindsay Lohan will debut her Playboy photos on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Her rep told the New York Daily News:

“Lindsay has agreed to do one media interview during the on-sale period of her issue, and has chosen Ellen. Lindsay will not be doing any additional interviews to promote her pictorial.” Lindsay reportedly received $1 million for the pictorial, which Hugh Hefner described as fully nude but, “classy, very classy.”

Lohan’s January/February issue will be hitting newsstands this month. Meanwhile, her appearince on The Ellen Degeneres Show happens Dec. 15.

Lindsay Lohan was horrified when co-workers at the Los Angeles County Morgue played a practical joke on her.  Lohan – who has completing community service as part of her sentence for breaking her probation in relation to a 2007 DUI case – became hysterical when a bloody, severed human hand appeared to fall out at her.  A source told the National Enquirer: “Lindsay went totally hysterical and bolted from the room shrieking.”  When one of the volunteer organizers told Lindsay someone had planted the phony hand as a joke she was furious and ranted, ‘I can’t believe anyone would think this is funny.  It’s really morbid and so is everyone here.’”  The workers decided on the prank after they reportedly got sick of the actress’ lazy ways while serving her sentence.  The source added: “Lindsay has a real attitude – always acting like she’s better than anyone else and spending much of her time taking cigarette breaks.”

So, in an effort to impress the judge Lindsay was scheduled to do start some community service today at the LA County Morgue. Lindsay was late for her 8AM orientation so they sent her home.

Her rep Steve Honig told E! News:

“Lindsay arrived at the morgue approximately 20 minutes late and will be returning for orientation tomorrow. Her lateness was due to a combination of not knowing what entrance to go through and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival. Lindsay spoke with the supervisors at the morgue, they showed her how to get in and everything is all cleared up.”

So, Lohan will begin her orientation tomorrow at 8 AM (if she shows up on time).

What’ll she be doing?

TMZ.com reports that Lindsaywill be cleaning tables where the autopsies are performed, noting that “various body parts and fluids often remain for disposal after the body is removed.”

She will also be sweeping floors, cleaning toilets, washing windows and picking up trash. The source noted that she will not actually be handling dead bodies.

Lindsay Lohan has been out and about in New York City with a man who some claim is the starlet’s new beau. According to E! Online she was partying with 39-year-old Vikram Chatwal at his apartment, until 5 AM, where the two were also seen kissing and cuddling. Photographs that appear to confirm the relationship have been posted all over the Internet.

However, Lindsay’s rep claims the two are just friends. The rep told the site:

“Lindsay and Vikram are very good friends and nothing more than that. There’s no romance between the two of them. As for the photos, I cannot confirm whether or not that is Lindsay in the photo . . . The angle and the way the photos are shot can make something look misleading.”

Vikram Chatwal is an American hotelier who owns a group of boutique, luxury hotels called Vikram Chatwal Hotels.

Lindsay Lohan reportedly got wasted on Saturday night while partying with friends at the Chateau Marmont and at the Palihouse hotel. Witnesses told RadarOnline.com that Lindsay started off the night looking good and sipping on cranberry juice — but she eventually turned to vodka and got sloppy. A source told the website:

“By 2 am, she could barely stand. She was trying to stabilize herself on the chairs. Then she made it over to the curtains and hung on them. The manager saw this and went over and helped her stand up. She was really nice to the manager. She kept saying, ‘Thank you. All my friends left me.’ Then she picked up her phone and started screaming ‘Every body left me! Why did everyone leave me? Where are you?’ The manager went back over to her and told her not to worry. ‘I’ll help you. Don’t worry.’ She eventually got outside, and when she got to her Escalade she just collapsed into it.”

Lohan — who has been to rehab 5 times — is no longer subject to alcohol and drug tests and can legally drink.

Lindsay denied the report, tweeting:

“Love how going to a friends birthday turns into a slew of lies! grrr — oh well.”
