Snooki and Jwoww’s new spin-off just hit a snag in New Jersey – because the town where they planned to shoot the reality show has rejected their request for a film permit.  The Mayor of Hoboken, Dawn Zimmer just made the announcement on her website, claiming the Hoboken Film Commission unanimously voted to deny the permit to 495 Productions “based on protecting public safety and quality of life concerns for Hoboken residents.”  According to the mayor, there’s a laundry list of problems with approving a 24-hour permit inHoboken, the least of which is a local policy that prohibits ALL filming after 11pm in residential areas.  The mayor claims filming the show would result in an “unacceptable lessening of the quality of life for the local residents and businesses” — causing traffic, creating large noisy crowds, and completely disrupting day-to-day life.

The Unit from “Jersey Shore“ who is about to be charged on drug possession charges in New Jersey didnt let that get in the way of calling into the Roz and Mocha Show –  The newest MTV reality star was arrested last summer at the “Jersey Shore” party house in Seaside Heights — when cops claim they found the drug “Special K” on his person. Special K is a hallucinogen, similar to PCP.

The Unit is also in hot water over not holding back about speaking his mind, thank goodness he was the same way with KiSS 92.5 – you’ve gotta listen to this – He was such an awesome guest and great guy!

The numbers are in for Thursday’s Season 5 premiere of Jersey Shore. The ratings were ok but … they’re nothing to fist-pump about — at least compared to the Season 4 premiere.  Thursday’s show at 10 p.m.drew in 7.6 million total viewers, with a 7.2 rating amongst the 18-34 year old demographic, which the show targets.  By comparison, Season 4 kicked off in August with 8.8 million total viewers and an 8.2 rating in the target demographic.

Last night on Jersey Shore the crew came back to Jersey and they had a ‘Welcome Back’ party. The Situation’s friend The Unit was there as was Snooki’s boyfriend Jionni.

Who is The Unit? He was allegedly there when Snooki cheated with The Situation. So, on last night’s episode he was threatening to spill the beans to Snooki’s man. Dirty move, right?

Well this could make you hate em’ even more. TMZ caught up with him in LA and asked him why there is hostility between him and Snooki. The Unit alluded to Snooki being promiscuous … in front of his pornstar girlfriend Amia (Moretti) Miley. Classy.

On Wednesday Mike The Situation told the Roz & Mocha show exclusively that the $40 million lawsuit is still happening.. Well…. here’s the latest from A&F.

Mike told us about the lawsuit – “…that is still in process, I do own the trademarks for GTL & The Situation, and unfortunetly Abercrobmie sold T-shirts, that said ‘GTL’ & ‘fitchuation’ – I just dont think they handled the situation correctly”

Abercrombie & Fitch is trying to end their ongoing feud with The Situation once and for all — asking a judge to dimiss the “Jersey Shore” star’s lawsuit against the clothing company … on grounds dude can’t take a joke.

The war between Sitch and A&F began back in August — when A&F publicly offered to pay The Situation NOT to wear its clothing. A month later, Sitch sued the company, claiming it ripped off his “GTL” and “Situation” trademarks on a line of guido-mocking t-shirts – But now, A&F is trying to put an end to the back-and-forth — claiming Sitch had no right to sue them in the first place … because he doesn’t technically own the trademarks in question … he only applied for them.

What’s more — A&F claims Situation’s application for “Gym Tan Laundry” has actually been suspended … because MTV already owns “Gym Tanning Laundry,” and the US Patent & Trademark Office thinks they’re too similar.

But trademarks aside — A&F insists its shirts are still protected under a law that allows parody as part of free speech … in other words, the shirts were obviously a harmless joke … albeit at the Situation’s expense.

Bottom line, A&F is hoping to avoid further litigation by citing an often incontrovertible fact … The Situation is full of crap. So far, no word back from Sitch’s camp.

He tweeted that the Roz & Mocha show was his “fav Toronto morning show” The Situation had his 2nd appearence on KiSS – Hear it here!

Vinny Guadagnino might be headed towards a legitimate acting career. The Jersey Shore star — who recently filmed a spot on 90210 as a “big, cocky celebrity” — said that it may turn into a recurring gig. See pics plus what he had to say after the jump. He revealed:

“It was awesome, a great experience. The cast and crew, everyone treated me very well. Actually, I might be doing another one. We’re in discussions for that right now. Listen, any acting that comes my way, I’m taking it. I love it.”
