Britney Spears has revealed that she would love to appear on “Modern Family.”  The singer told her Twitter followers … that she is a fan of the sitcom.  “I know everybody is excited about the Super Bowl, but I personally can’t wait to see the next episode of Modern Family!” she wrote.  “Funniest show on TV.”  Spears’s manager Adam Leber later tweeted: “@BritneySpears on Modern Family? What do you guys think?”  Fans of Brit later attempted to get the Twitter hashtag #GetBritneyOnModernFamily trending, with Spears replying: “Ahhhh I would love to be on it!”

Britney Spears’s conservatorship will end in time for her wedding.  Her father, Jamie, took control of his daughter’s affairs back in 2008 at the height of … Brit’s public meltdown.  The conservatorship was extended on various occasions as Britney continued to overcome her personal issues.  However, Jamie now feels his daughter is ready to control her own finances and wants a judge to end the arrangement before she marries fiancé Jason Trawick.  “Jamie wants to go to court in early February so Britney will be a free woman in every sense when she marries,” a source told the Sunday Express.  Britney is rumored to be planning a Valentine’s Day wedding to Trawick on the Hawaiian island of Maui.

Britney Spears might have gotten engaged to Jason Trawick only a few weeks ago — but she isn’t wasting any time thinking about what she wants for her wedding. How lavish will it be? A source said:

“She wants a traditional Southern-style wedding with comfort food, surrounded by her family, her two sons and all of her childhood friends. Britney is taking this marriage really seriously.”

She may be looking for a toned down ceremony but the dress is still going to wow guests. An insider told more! magazine:

 

“She’s already thinking about asking one of her favourite designers, someone like Betsey Johnson or her friend Jeremy Scott. If it’s Jeremy, it’ll be more futuristic [he designs Katy Perry's outrageous stage costumes]. If she picks Betsey, it’ll still be edgy but more traditional, with a lot of layering.”

DJ Earworm has once again mashed up the biggest songs of the year, and this time the common thread in pop music according to Earworm is ‘boom.’

Nicki Minaj’s ‘Super Bass,’ Brtiney’s ‘Till The World Ends,’ and Katy Perry’s ‘Firework,’ and others make up the ‘boom’ in this years chorus.

Remember Jason Alexander — the guy that Britney Spears was married to for 55 hours back in 2004? Apparently he’s the only one who isn’t too happy about Britney’s engagement to Jason Trawick. Alexander told Us Weekly, that he thinks its a bad move.

He said:

“I know everyone wants me to be happy about this, but I am not. I think it’s fake and I think people are afraid to say it. If you look at all the pictures between them there is no connection. They look like they are going through the motions. It seems like a answer to the court thing. Sort of a nice way to sew it all up she marries her handler. That way she always has someone controlling her. It’s sort of sad.”

Think he’s got a point or is he just sour?

Lady Gaga may have had an amazing year, what with her sold-out tour, #1 album, string of hit singles and numerous awards, but that didn’t impress Billboard magazine readers much. In their annual Readers Poll, Gaga was voted Most Overrated, capturing 30 percent of the hundreds of thousands of votes cast. On the other hand, she did win the Best Fashion title.

Madonna didn’t release any new music in 2011 — officially, anyway — but her as-yet-untitled new album, due in March was named Most Anticipated of 2012 in the readers poll.

Adele also topped two of the Billboard Readers Poll categories as well: her disc “21” was named Favorite Billboard Top 200 album, while her single “Rolling in the Deep” was named Favorite Hot 100 #1 hit.  But despite the fact that Billboard named Adele its Artist of the Year, the publication’s readers had a different opinion.  In the poll, they awarded the title of MVP of the Year, not to Adele, but to Britney Spears.

Also of note in the poll, Jennifer Lopez was voted Best Comeback of the Year – Kelly Clarkson was the runner-up — while Amy Winehouse’s death was named Biggest Controversy.  The runner-up there was the trial of Michael Jackson doctor Conrad Murray.

So, by now you know that Britney Spears is engaged to her former manager and BF of two years, Jason Trawick.  The one thing that most people want to see…the ring!

They celebrated their engagement in Vegas last night with a group of friends.  Here’s the first look at her new rock, a 3-carat round stone … diamond-paved band – pretty sweet!
