[ROZ & MOCHA INTERVIEW] Gawker Launches ‘Crackstarter’ to Buy Rob Ford Video

Gawker is raising funds to buy the rights to the infamous video that allegedly shows Toronto’s mayor smoking crack.

The video is now being shopped around by drug dealers of Somali descent.

Gawker is hoping to raise $200,000 to give to the drug dealers in exchange for the video and the right to publish it. With just 7 days left, they’ve raised just under $90,000.

Mocha of The Roz & Mocha Show was invited to be a guest star on the movie ” Dr. Cabbie” by Kunal Nayyar (Raj from Big Bang Theory)!

Dr. Cabbie is about an unemployed doctor turned cab driver becomes a local hero when he converts his taxi into a mobile clinic.

[Roz & Mocha Interview] Rob Ford in ‘crack cocaine’ video scandal – Roz & Mocha Chat With The Toronto Star

The Toronto Star & Gawker.com claims there’s a cellphone video that appears to show Mayor Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine is being shopped around Toronto by a group of Somali men involved in the drug trade.

Two Toronto Star reporters have viewed the video three times. It appears to show Ford in a room, sitting in a chair, wearing a white shirt, top buttons open, inhaling from what appears to be a glass crack pipe.

UPDATE:

Mayor Rob Ford is calling recent allegations of videotaped drug use “absolutely not true.”

Outside his Etobicoke home on Friday morning, Ford spoke to a group of waiting reporters, saying “Absolutely not true…it’s ridiculous.”

He then shook his head, got into his vehicle and drove away.

On Friday afternoon at city hall, Ford echoed the comments: “These allegations are ridiculous. It’s another story with respect to the Toronto Star going after me.”

This morning on The Roz & Mocha Show, Roz read some poll results from a survey asking who is the worst pop star…apparently we don’t like Justin Bieber. However, more importantly this sparked the debate, if we asked you to vote on your favorite member of the Roz & Mocha Show, between Roz, Mocha and Damnit Maurie who would you pick?

The votes came in fast and furious!

A new music-oriented poll from Public Policy Polling finds widespread support for several genres and music and artists – but Americans are united in their dislike for teen pop sensation Justin Bieber. PPP tested the favorability ratings of several of today’s biggest music stars: Taylor Swift (53-27), Adele (54-18), Beyonce (51-30), and Justin Timberlake (52-24) all received positive reviews from voters. Others didn’t fare as well – Chris Brown (13-57), Lady Gaga (29-50), Justin Bieber (20-54) were all rated unfavorably by 50% or more, and Jay-Z (25-44) and Rihanna (30-39) had net- negative favorability ratings as well. Veteran British rocker Morrissey (17-31 with 52% not sure) and dubstep pioneer Skrillex (11-35 with 54% not sure) were the least known of artists tested.

Bieber was the only artist whose unfavorability rating stretched across partisan lines – a majority of Democrats (23-54), Republicans (17-52), and independents (18-56) all reported negative views of the singer.

While his dad defied gravity for the past five months, Evan Hadfield has been Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield’s right hand man on land.

Chris Hadfield is back safely on Earth after five months on the International Space Station, but it will take several months for the Canadian astronaut’s body to return to its pre-flight condition.

What is it like to have your dad in space? How many comments were flooding in on Facebook? The best guy to ask is Even Hadfield, Chris’ son who has been so proud and supportive of his dads mission to space, and is thrilled to have him back on Earth.
