The “KiSS Whack of Cash” Contest Rules

1. To enter the KiSS Whack of Cash contest (‘the contest’), listen to KiSS 92.5 for the cue to call to be announced each weekday of the contest period (‘the announcement’). Announcements will be made Monday-Friday of the contest period from 7am – 7pm (all times are Eastern time). When you hear it call 416-870-8888, if you are caller 9 as deemed by an independent representative of Rogers, you instantly win a cash prize of $100.00 CDN.
2. Multiple individuals in one household may enter the Contest as often as they like, however there can only be one (1) winning person per household. “Household” includes every individual residing at the same municipal address.
4. All prizes must be accepted as awarded. Rogers reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or lesser value in the case of unavailability of the advertised prize.
5. In order to win, the selected Qualifiers must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited, mathematical skill testing question, posed by telephone at a mutually convenient time. Rogers judges’ rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the Contest and the awarding of prizes.
6. The selected Qualifiers will be required to return a signed release and acknowledgment form before being declared a winner.
7. By entering this Contest, each Qualifier consents to the use of his/her entry, name, and city of residence and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Rogers and/or its advertising agencies, without further compensation.  Winners consent to their photograph being taken by Rogers for such use, without further compensation.  All entries become the property of Rogers.
8.  To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be a legal resident of Ontario and be thirteen (13) years of age or older.  Employees and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of the Contest Sponsor, its agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, and promotional and advertising agencies and administrators, are ineligible to enter. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. In the event the selected entrant is a minor, the entrant’s parent or legal guardian will be deemed to be the entrant who must meet all contest eligibility requirements and who may accept the prize on behalf of the minor.

9. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants.
10. All entries become property of Rogers who assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for failure of any telephone or radio equipment during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, broadcasting and communications hardware or software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s property related to or resulting from playing or downloading or accessing any material in the Contest.  Rogers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend all or any portion of this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Rogers corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Rogers not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing, advertising or broadcasting any aspect of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any system or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Rogers reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
11. 12. This Contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment and cancellation by Rogers without notice.  Entrants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules if they participate in the Contest.

13. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.

KiSS 92.5 Winning Weekend – The KiSS 92.5 World Tour ‘Ultimate VMA Experience in Hollywood’ Contest Rules

(a) “Contest Period” starts at 5:30am on September 3rd, 2010 and continues until 11:59am on September 6th, 2010, the “Contest Closing Date”. To enter, listen to KiSS 92.5 (“KiSS 92.5”) for the cue to call to be announced during the Contest Period (the “Announcement’). When you hear it call 416-870-8888, if you are caller 9 as deemed by an independent representative of Rogers you will eligible to qualify for the Grand Prize Draw; a trip for two (2) to Los Angeles as described below.

Callers will have 5 seconds to respond once the call is answered.  If the telephone line is dead when answered by KiSS 92.5, or no audible response is heard, or no one responds after 5 seconds, KiSS 92.5  will answer the next call in sequence and the next call in sequence will replace that call.    In the event a call is cut off before all personal data is collected, KiSS 92.5  will make its best efforts to make contact with the cut off caller provided enough personal information was gathered in order to correctly identify the cut off caller.  In the event two or more calls come through on the same line, all such callers will be advised to hang up and try again and the next call in sequence and the next call in sequence will replace that call.

 
(b) A random grand prize draw by a Rogers representative, from all qualifying callers who qualified by being the pre-determined caller as of the Contest Closing Date  will be made at KiSS 92.5 office at 777 Jarvis St on September 7th, 2010. Selected entrant will be contacted by telephone at the telephone number provided at the time of entry.

(c) If a selected entrant cannot be reached or qualified using the information provided at the time of entry within 1 business day or declines the prize it will be donated to a charity of KiSS 92.5’s choice.

(d) In the event that a selected entrant incorrectly answers the skill testing question, or fails to return the signed release and acknowledgment as indicated below, another entrant will be selected.

(e) Only one (1) entry per person.
No purchase, expenditure or investment is necessary to enter this Contest.

Participants are eligible to win:

One (1) of twenty (20) preliminary prizes consisting of:

•  Eminem ‘Recovery’ and the Black Eyed Peas ‘The E.N.D’ CDs, or Enrique Iglesais ‘Euphoria’ and Lady Gaga ‘The Remix CD’ CDs

One (1) Grand Prize consisting of:

• The Winner and his/her guest must be able to travel on September 10th, 2010 – September 13th, 2010. Winners do not have the option to choose travel dates.  Due to the nature of the prize, trip must be taken on these dates and no other dates will be given.

• Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, re-assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash. Should winner and/or guest be unable to travel at the designated dates and times, or not possess the necessary travel documentation including passports or applicable visas, Grand Prize will be considered forfeit and awarded to an alternate entrant.

Grand Prize winner and his/her guest(s) are solely responsible for obtaining travel insurance (medical, accident and baggage insurance and all other forms of insurance) at their option.   Grand Prize winner is solely responsible for all taxes, departure taxes, airport improvement fees, connector flights, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance together with any required travel documentation, all personal expenses of any kind or nature, together with any applicable overnight layover.  It is the Grand Prize winner’s responsibility for all cost incurred to and from the departure point as the prize originates and terminates there.  It is also the Grand Prize winner’s responsibility to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas if applicable and to comply with any customs immigration requirements.  Failing to provide the required documents may result in denied boarding and/or entry by immigration authorities.  KiSS 92.5 is not responsible in this respect.  Request for refund will not be entertained.  Grand Prize winner waives all recourse against KiSS 92.5 if services offered do not prove to be entirely satisfactory.
 
In order to be awarded a Prize, the Winner must designate [1] travel companion, who must travel with the winner.  No changes to travel dates or passenger names are permitted once a booking has been confirmed for the Grand Prize.  Winner and his/her guests must travel on the same itinerary for both the outbound and inbound portions of the trip.  By entering this Contest and accepting the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize winner agrees to maintain his/her behavior in accordance with all applicable laws and generally accepted social practices in connection with participation in any Contest or prize-related activity.  The Grand Prize winner understands and agrees that Rogers or any prize provider has the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and remove the Winner and/or any guest(s) from any activity at any time if the Winner or a guest’s behavior at any point is uncooperative, disruptive, or may or does cause damage to person, property, or the reputation of Rogers or any prize provider or otherwise violates the policies of the prize providers.
