Drake has admitted that he dropped out of school against his mother’s wishes when he was a teen. In a radio interview, he said:

“At one point in my life, I was a kid who was lost. I knew I wanted to do music, but, I dropped out of high school against my mother’s wishes, who happens to be a retired teacher. A lot of people told me it was the wrong decision, that leaving acting was the wrong decision.”

He continued:

“A lot of the things I was doing was not the smartest choices but passion is what drove me. I’m not advising you to drop out of school, I’m just advising you to follow your heart and if you really believe in something and you project that, I believe that it does come back to you, so, I aligned myself with great people which I feel like is the key to success and here I am.”

Ummm … didn’t Drake graduate from Degrassi last year?

Over the weekend, some sites claimed that Lady Gaga got Beyonce a Miley Cyrus hair brush as a birthday gift, but now it seems that the present was nothing close to that. Britain’s The Sun claims that Gaga spent thousands of dollars on the actual gift she got for Beyonce’s 29th: a diamond-crusted whip with a sexy little bra and panty set to go with it.
Gaga reportedly gave the present to her “Telephone” and “Video Phone” collaborator backstage at the Jay-Z and Eminem show in Detroit last week. A source said, “When Beyonce received it she squealed with excitement.”

I wonder if it looked anything like this?

Lady Gaga’s latest attempt at creating “controversy” is to pose for Vogue Japan . . . covered in a “raw meat bikini”. Not surprisingly, PETA isn’t impressed.  Here’s what they had to say, ”No matter how beautifully it is presented, flesh from a tortured animal is flesh from a tortured animal.  Meat represents bloody violence and suffering, so if that’s the look they were going for, they achieved it”

Chelsea Handler is set to host the VMAs in Hollywood this weekend, and last night she had mulitple nominee B.o.B on her show Chelsea Lately to discuss the awards show, his relationship with Airplanes singer Hayley Williams, and B.o.B’s opening slot on the Eminem/Jay-Z Home and Home Tour.

CBS released a promo for their Justin Biber episode of “CSI”…get ready to freak out! Ok, maybe not, cause the clip is only 16 seconds long.

In other news, Justin says he is sick of fans yelling at him and bothering him when he’s eating. The 16-year-old told Teen Vogue, “Just talk to me. Ask me how I’m doing. Introduce yourself instead of yelling, ‘Justin! Justin! Justin! Can I have a picture?’”

Justin added, “And don’t come up to me while I’m eating. How would you like it if I came into your house and started taking pictures of you while you were eating? I hate that.”
