Well, friends, today is a full circle kinda day. Not only is Justin Bieber engaged to someone he predicted he’d marry back in 2016 (hi, Hailey Baldwin), but Kylie Jenner announced that’s she’s removed all her lip fillers. It’s a poetic closing-of-the-loop on so much 2010s drama.

Four years after she says she first got her lips injected to make them appear (MUCH) larger, the youngest Kardashian confirmed on Instagram that she’s been holding back on the augmentation lately. In fact, Stormi’s mama has actively had the filler taken out of her face.

Fans had been remarking on Jenner’s appearance (even more than usual) after she posted a snap with long-time friend Stassi (a.k.a. Anastasia Karanikolaou). As one user commented: “She looks like the old kylie here idk why,” to which King Kylie herself responded: “i got rid of all my filler” and then two shocked face emojis plus a smiley one, which… like… our feelings exactly.

The 20-year-old’s breeziness about removing her lip fillers is in sharp contrast to the super-weirdness with which she tried to cover up getting them back in the day. You’ll recall the initial denials: the “Oh, it’s just really expert lip liner application” claims, and the entire makeup brand launched on the premise that you, too, could achieve such a look, all without any kind of cosmetic intervention. Eventually she did fess up about her filler use, and revealed (on an episode of her reality show, of course) that she first got them when she was 15. “I had really small lips,” she told her therapist on Life Of Kylie. “One of my first kisses…a guy was like, ‘I didn’t think you’d be a good kisser because you have such small lips’.” She said that she felt insecure, and that’s why she started getting them. No word on why she’s removed them, and if this is a permanent thing, but stay tuned for an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, right?

What really intrigues us, though: Kylie said she’d had filler “removed.” Like… how? While we know that fillers do break down over time—your average injection of Restylane, for instance, lasts about six months—we were not aware, till now, that you can in fact *dissolve* your fillers. According to Allure, if you have hyaluronic-based fillers (like Restylane or Juvederm), an injection of something called hyaluronidase will break them down over a 24–48 hour period. Most commonly used for botched jobs, the procedure is apparently painless…bar the initial needle prick, of course.

So, there you have it!
