‘Pray’, which is off of Sam Smith’s second studio album The Thrill of It All and just recently, received one amazing remix featuring Logic.  Sam tweeted, “My new single is PRAY featuring Logic.  I am so excited for you to hear this new version of one of my favourite tracks on the album.  It was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with Logic to create this, such an incredible artist.”

Check out some of Logic’s lyrics:

“They never knew my struggle
Rose above the rubble
Rather live inside they bubble then go through the trouble of havin’ they double double vision correct it
They just neglect it and–
I been thinking lately
Will the Devil take me? or will God protect me?

I know I ain’t perfect, but you should respect me
They don’t want me happy
They don’t want to let me live”

In a statement that was released after the original version dropped, Sam explains that ‘Pray’ was actually written after a visit to Mosul, Iraq, “We are all looking around at what’s happening in the world, and it is just messed up.  You’ve got no choice but to look up to the sky and put your hands together and pray for something to happen.”
