"I Was Crying My Eyes Out": Deric McCabe on What It Was Like to Film A Wrinkle in Time

9-year-old Deric McCabe is here to steal your heart.

McCabe plays young genius Charles Wallace in Disney’s newest flick, A Wrinkle in Time, alongside major Hollywood players like Oprah, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling and Zach Galifianakis, but working with the celebs didn’t faze him in the slightest.

“[Working with them] isn’t really unbelievable to me because I don’t know who half these people are,” McCabe joked. “I had to play it off like I knew who they were.”

Being nine years old, McCabe is a little too young to fully appreciate all that Oprah has done for the world. In fact, he thought she was a famous opera singer because of her name!
