Back in December, Ariana Grande teased fans on Instagram by posting this very short video of some ‘new sound’ that she’s working on and captioned it, “See you next year.”

It’s now 2018 and she kept to her word because Troye Sivan has confirmed via Twitter that he and Ariana are collaborating on new music.

Troye tweeted, “Yes!!! The rumours are trumours!! @arianagrande is my pop queen and I can’t wait for you guys to hear our song.”

In addition, Troye also confirmed that in the past, he worked on another collab and with another pop queen – Carly Rae Jepsen! Unfortunately, the track they worked on never made it onto Troye’s album.  Troye recently told PopBuzz, “We wrote a really cute song… you end up writing 50 songs for an album when you wanna pick 10, so sometimes they just don’t make it.”  Troye also said that Carly is “good friendship vibes”.

Troye also dished on any future dream collaborations.  Of course, TAYLOR SWIFT! He says, “I’ve always said that I would like to write with Taylor Swift, so I can just geek out and see her process. She’s a really genius songwriter, and I’d love to see that.”

And in terms of Troye’s new album, “So, it’s almost done actually. It’s 95% done, I’m mixing it, and I’m so proud of this album. I feel like it’s the best thing I’ve ever made. I can’t wait to take it out on the road and tour it.  I think my first single ‘My My My’ is a good indicator of where things are heading. There’s a ‘lightness’ to the album that wasn’t on the last one. People can expect to have a really good time to the album. It’s about love. I’m growing all the time and I write super-personally, I just feel like I’m really happy so it’s about that.”

No word on release dates but in the meantime, let’s jam to ‘My My My!’
