KJ Apa has called Vancouver home since being cast as Archie in the hit teen drama Riverdale. And while he enjoys the laid-back lifestyle the city inspires, he has admitted to being a little bored in British Columbia.

During an appearance on Oct. 10’s episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, the star said he loves the city’s diverse food selection and gym facilities but finds it hard to keep himself amused.

KJ appears to be searching for an all-night party, as he went on to add, “The city’s not the biggest city in the world, everything kind of shuts early as well, which I guess is good.” RyanSeacrest laughed, pointing out that the early curfews keep him coming in to work the next day, to which he responded, “Yeah, that’s right!”

Hopefully the city can forgive him—he’s only twenty, after all! Otherwise, KJ has been super active in the goings on of Vancouver. He recently joined some other high-profile stars to play in the Whitecaps FC charity alumni match , which supports the B.C. Children’s Hospital.

If the city doesn’t tickle his fancy, perhaps a Canadian girl will! The New Zealand native recently shared a cute encounter with a Vancouver native. He told Cosmopolitan that he was shopping for speakers in the city and spotted his dream girl while she was eating lunch, “I was with my best friend and he was like, ‘Bro, look at that girl,’ and I looked over and she stopped me in my tracks.”

Though he debated introducing himself for a while, finally he gave in. Apparently, the mystery girl didn’t know he was an actor, “I said hi, introduced myself. I was taking to her for about 15 minutes and I asked if we could grab a coffee or something.” After a few dates here and there, the spark fizzled out, KJ confessed, “[I] didn’t really feel it.”
