The song of the summer, ‘Despacito’, is making some major history because at 16 weeks, it has now tied with Mariah Carey’s ‘One Sweet Day’ for most weeks at No.1 on the Billboard Charts.

While ‘Despacito’ and ‘Despacito Remix’ with Justin Bieber are ruling the charts in 2017, ‘One Sweet Day’ ruled the Billboard charts back in 1995 and 1996.

On top of being No.1 for 16 straight weeks, the video (which contains only the original version of the song) has 3 billion views on YouTube, making it the most watched video in history.

Luis Fonsi says, “This is a historic day for Latin music! I’m incredibly thankful for all of my fans and their amazing support. Feeling very blessed right now.”
