Meghan Trainor Releases New Song, 'I'm A Lady'!

‘I’m A Lady’ will be on the soundtrack to the upcoming animated movie Smurfs: The Lost Village.

In the Monsters and the Strangerz-produced track (they’ve worked with Rihanna, Britney Spears, Fifth Harmony etc..), Meghan sings, “And I don’t look like them/ I don’t talk like them/ But I know I’m a gem/ I ain’t worried about it, I ain’t worried about it/ ‘Cause I’m a lady,”

In an Instagram post, Meghan revealed that her mother Kellia helped her write the song, “Thank you to my mama for helping me write this sassy/powerful song Kellia Trainor. She won’t admit it but she was by my side supporting me while I wrote it.”

Smurfs: The Lost Village stars Julia Roberts and Ariel Winter; Meghan voices the character of ‘Melody’.

The movie will hit theaters on April 7th.
