It looks as though that collaboration between Drake and Kanye West might not happen … at least for now anyways.

In a recent interview with DJ Semtex on OVO Sound Radio, Drake admitted that he lost respect for Kanye West after Kanye went on one of his very special rants during his Saint Pablo Tour, saying how Drake was ‘overplayed’ on the radio in 2016.

Drake says, “I think everybody has their own little things going on, I’m not really sure what he’s referring to half the time, as in the same breath, I went from being… like working on a project with him, to him sort of publicly sh*tting on me and DJ Khaled for being on the radio too much.  But yeah I’m not really sure, everybody’s got their own thing going on.”

Drake continued, “Again me when I hear that, I just distance myself from it you know, alright if that’s what it is, I don’t really even understand the point you’re trying to make but whatever it is that you’re going through, I accept it, I don’t respect it at all”

Although Drake has been in the spotlight lately, and not so much for his music ( he’s been rumoured to be dating Jennifer Lopez), Drake also took a shot at this years GRAMMY awards (he won a GRAMMY for ‘Best Rap Song’ and ‘Best Rap Sung/Performance’):

“Even though ‘Hotline Bling’ is not a rap song, the only category they can manage to fit me in is a rap category.  Maybe because I’ve rapped in the past or because I’m black. I can’t figure out why. I won two awards, but I don’t even want them because it just feels weird for some reason.”

By the looks of it, Drake is not too happy these days however, it was just last week that Drake announced that he was about 1-2 weeks away from finishing his latest project, More Life.
