When asked how she was dealing with everything, Jolie said, “I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time and we are a family and we will always be a family.”

She added, “We will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it.”

When asked about the effect the divorce has had on her family Angelina said, “My whole family, we’ve all being through a difficult time…My focus is my children, our children, and my focus is finding this way through. We are and forever will be a family. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer.”

Angelina’s son Maddox, 15 was at the center of an alleged incident while on a plane with his father Brad Pitt. Brad and Angelina shocked the world by announcing their split in September; they were married in 2014.

At the time of the split, Pitt released a statement to People magazine saying, “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”
