Demetrios Hrysikos is fed up.

Like many of us, he’s seen 2016 take away some of Hollywood’s biggest names including Prince, David Bowie, Muhammad Ali, George Michael and most recently Carrie Fisher; the latter was the last straw for him.

He decided to set up a GoFundMe page to help protect another beloved Hollywood star, 94 year old Betty White.

He writes, “Help 2016 catch these hands if it goes anywhere near Betty White! If she’s okay with it I will fly to where ever Betty White is and keep her safe till Jan 1 , 2017. Now , assuming she doesn’t want a strange Greek standing guard outside her door all monies will be donated to the Spartanburg little theater to help craft new stars of stage and screen to carry mantle of the legends that have left is this year.”

He’s nearly reached his goal of $2,000 as people have already donated over $1,700 to his cause.

Almost immediately after word came down that Carrie Fisher passed away, people on social media began stating their concern for Betty White.
