Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar have teamed up for the first time on M5’s new tropical flavoured single ‘Don’t Wanna Know’!

The Benny Blanco produced track was made available online shortly after midnight on Tuesday night.

M5 revealed in a press release that the official music video will premiere this Friday, October 14th on the Today show. The video reunites Maroon 5 with David Dobkin, the filmmaker who shot the band’s most-viewed video for ‘Sugar’.

The band will follow the video premiere with their first televised performance of it on Ellen on November 3rd.

The song feels like new territory for the group with it’s breezy groove. Levine croons, “I don’t wanna know/if you’re playin’ me/keep it on the low/cuz my heart can’t take it anymore/and if you’re creepin’/please don’t let it show/oh baby, I don’t wanna know.”

Kendrick contributes a single verse, rapping “No more police stop/No more hashtag boo’d up screenshots/No more tryin’ make me jealous on your birthday/You know just how I make you better on your birthday, oh.”
