Justin Bieber and Skrillex are being sued by an indie pop artist named White Hinterland for ripping off her music on their hit “Sorry.” TMZ reports that Hinterland claims the “unique characteristics of the female vocal riff” from her 2014 song “Ring the Bell” are the same as those used on Bieber’s track. Eight seconds of the “Ring the Bell” riff are allegedly used six times in Bieber’s “Sorry.” Hinterland says she warned Bieber’s camp to stop using the strikingly similar vocals, but was ignored. She now wants Bieber to to stop playing the song and to cough up some serious cash. Given that the two riffs sound exactly the same, it looks like Bieber and Skrillex should indeed tell Hinterland that they’re “sorry.”
