Last week ‘SOS’ had an amazing adoption event and it was a success! Some of these pups were able to find a FUREVER home!

#SaveOurScruff is a non-profit GTA based organization that helps reuse and re-home pups. We’re super excited for the holidays here at KISS and what better way to celebrate then find a cuddle buddy? After all, it is CUFFING SEASON.

There’s a ton of new pups ‘SOS’ has saved around the world and they’re looking to spend Christmas with you!

Meet CHUCK NORRIS. Half dog, half miniature.. cuddle/sweety/cutie monster… This is awkward. This guy is a 2 year old Chihuahua/Yorkshire Terrier, which is a lot of name for a little pup. He settled in quite nicely and is excited to be in anyones hands, loves getting dressed up and meeting new friends. He loves being cuddled up next to you, being outside/on walks or running. You will never catch him cause no one can catch CHUCK NORRIS (Seriously though he is hella fast). He’s leash and potty trained, good with dogs (needs proper intro) and cats (prefers older cats for some reason?! #weirdo) He is the best of both worlds as he loves to run and play but also is a total lap dog. He shows some resource guarding and for that reason should not be in a home with children. He will need a strong leader who will correct this! He is very tiny, supposedly hypoallergenic and non-shedding and has a beautiful silver coat!

Story Time! Meet CHARLIE and BROWNIE! They are 1 year old bonded brothers rescued from the streets of Los Angeles. Two friends were driving when they saw a man beating them in the head with a stick. Not thinking twice, the two made a U turn. After arriving to the scene, the one woman approached the man in question to ask what was going on. He then yelled “mind your own business” and pushed the woman to the side. PLOT TWIST: The woman grabbed the dogs and put them in their car. *Applauds* PLOT TWIST AGAIN: The police somehow arrived, which made the the women actually very happy, but they ended up putting both the man in question and female rescuer (in our terms) in jail overnight! The man ended up getting released as he was homeless and after a night in jail the pups rescuer was released with custody of the dogs. We are unaware if this was granted to her or if the gentleman did not want them. That being said, after being fostered by her friend, both pups are now becoming Scruffs and are ready for their second chance. After a month of being fearful of humans, both dogs are excited to find their furever home. We, as well as their rescuer, have no doubt that there is a lucky family out there that will adopt both Charlie and Brownie. They are very loving, playful and thankful. Their eyes say it all. Instead of sharing the pictures of them the day of their attack, we have decided to show you their smiles today. We are looking for a home who can take them in as fosters but with the hopes of adoption. We do not know their behaviours first hand and are requesting a home without children.

Wait you wanted a pair of bonded senior poms?! That’s weird cause we totally just got these guys in. Meet ROMEO & TURBO!  As I said, these guys are looking for a home TOGETHER. They are aged 9 and 10 and have spent that time together! They’re friendly, playful and don’t act like seniors at all! They will although require a full-time beautician as they follow in Missy Elliot’s paws in liking to get their hur did and their nails done.

Meet Alize! This beautiful girl is a 8 year old Beagle/Walker Hound mix! She comes to us from Toronto and is excited to find her furever home! She has settled into routine very well. Most of the time she has low energy level but also benefits from about 2-3 walks a day. She loves to be your errand companion but is also okay being left alone. She likes the company of others and will sit in her doggy bed right next to you or on the couch if she is invited. She is an easy apartment dog as she loves to lounge around. She barks at the doorbell but is otherwise quite (thus far). She is super affectionate and loves a good snuggle or belly rub. Her fosters call her ‘worm’ because she will squirms all over the place hoping to find a place where you might notice her and give her lots of attention. She is sometimes stubborn on walks — where her hound intincts kick in and she follows her nose. She does show tendencies of being an alpha, so a dominant owner is important. She’s not too big or strong so correction is not difficult.

It might be cold outside but we have a girl with a warm heart! Meet BRANDI. Just over 1 year in age, this Mexican mutt is ready for your home! She is medium sized and has medium energy with spurts. She is very puppy like and will need all basic training including potty training, leash work, and a general introduction to the sights and sounds of Toronto. She can be shy, but does like making new friends. She actually thrives on meeting new people — she is very aware/curious on walks and is exploring her new digs. She is more timid of her surroundings then to people or other animals. She LOVES getting ALL the attention and also loves being active. She likes space to run and play! She is a barker so keep that in mind if you are in an apartment.
