The song serves as Usher’s way of dealing with a turbulent two years which saw him go through a very bitter custody battle with his ex, a fling with her bridesmaid and the tragic death of his stepson from a ski accident.

 

Last January while performing in Berlin, Usher abruptly cancelled the rest of his show due to an upper respiratory illness, shocking the fans in attendance. In the video, it is this incident that he cites as the beginning of his pain, so what does he do to deal with it? He dances, and does it very well.
