Yesterday during $10,000 Thursdays #DecisionImpossible, Kristyn walked away with the money after convincing Beth And Pawendeep to vote for her after telling her story about an abusive relationship.
We HAD to get her back on the show to see if that was the truth…you’ve GOT to hear this audio with Kristyn!! PLUS, Beth the firefighter calls back too!!

As a survivor of domestic violence, I MUST express my complete DISGUST with this so-called human being.
It’s Domestic Violence Awareness month, and most of the friends I have today are other women survivors. I cannot speak for them, but I can tell you that most of them would have a few choice, MUCH JUICIER words for her.
Three survivor friends and I have created a website, http://1infour.ca/. It is a site by survivors FOR survivors.
Take a look at the blog section of the site and read the stories of some TRUE survivors of abuse. Take a look at the stats that 1 in 4 women are affected by domestic violence and almost 1/3 of all female homicide victims were killed by their intimate partner.
Abuse goes beyond physical harm.
If you are in an abusive relationship, remember:
1. You are not alone
2. It is NOT your fault
3. Help is available

Absolutely disgusting!! I agree and I know people do what they can to win games by lying , cheating and shit, but did she really have to fabricate a terrible story like that when there are real women out there suffering and trying to find an out of there relationships!!
Sorry disagree!!

I agree the story may not have been the best choice but ANY story that someone makes up to win are relatable and real and happen everyday.
You can’t say that she is a sad excuse for a human being from hearing a radio contest. It’s all done for entertainment and for you to judge someone and say things like that based on a CONTEST is just as wrong.
Again the fact she admitted to the lie says a lot. Everyone lies on these contests but no one every admits to it so I give her respect for that.

Honestly I don’t know why people are getting so upset about it. After all it is a STORY – no one said the story had to be true.
Yes maybe the story she told wasn’t the best go with but it worked and she got the money so good for her. That story is better than faking a death or a chronic illness (ideas for future contestants) haha.
People do a lot worse and the fact that she admitted she was lying speaks volumes, she could have just walked away and kept people fooled but she set the record straight. That takes balls!
She did say her mom went through the same thing which is probably where she thought to use that story and she did say she was going to donate some of the money.
$10K is a lot of money, everyone needs it and you can’t use the whole debt excuse because lets face it everyone has debt. To win you need to have a better story.
The game isn’t get a bunch of people in a room who have devastating lives and give them money, it’s who can be the most convincing and that’s what she did so get over it.
Next week I’m sure we will have more juicy dirt to listen to. It’s all entertainment so don’t take it so personally.

Amen to Michelle.
People these days take things FAR too personally. And I have also personally seen from these comments how people twist the words of one to make a harsh judgment against another. Many of your comments are surrounded by your selective hearing, you listen to only the parts that you want to hear. The part where she said she was lying – and then Michelle so kindly pointed out that she also indicated that it was her mother’s story that she told.
So for all of you judging her and saying that real people go through this, thank you, we know that because a REAL PERSON did go through it and Kristyn told HER story. It is not any stranger’s place to pass judgment on who ACTUALLY tells the story.
And at the end of the day, it’s a stupid contest, you all need to quit your damn whining and build a bridge and get over it

Ok Jill, so my question to you and everyone else is, if it is so wrong to make up a STORY to win money, then you must be against all hollywood films seeing as a large majority of them consist of MADE UP STORIES about touchy subjects and emotional trauma and their sole purpose is for the entertainment of the general public and to make money.
I fail to see the difference other than the fact that she is just a regular person like anyone else that could use a little extra cash to enjoy life and not some rich producer making a few mill. Stop being so judgmental of people, if you have such a problem with today’s society then stop sitting behind your computer complaining about other people and judging their lives and DO SOMETHING USEFUL ABOUT IT. Otherwise, shut up.

I completely agree with Candice and Michelle. People need to chill out and relax.
Krysten clearly knows that abuse is not something to be taken lightly since she used it as a story for sympathy. It’s not like she was making fun of people who have been abused. She knew it would get her the money. Smart.
Sucks for the momma’s boy but it was just a game. If that was me I wouldn’t take it so hard, I would only have myself to blame for buying her story lol Everyone lies on this kind of stuff, you have to if you want to win.

I think those 2 idiots should be fired for this shit. Domestic abuse is a terrible thing and the fact that they reward someone for lying shows absolutely no class at all. I lost all respect I had towards those 2 so called hosts and this station. The morning show does damn near anything to get ratings including rewarding a nut case for lying about something serious and tragic. Women like her make it impossible for the nice guys to find a good girl. She should be ashamed of herself and Roz and Mocha as well as the station management should apologize as well as Rogers media

I get that you’re trying to improve ratings, promote a show and shit, but its ridiculous to encourage lying for money. She was an absolute bitch, and the firefigther was smart, but a bitch too.

Really? You are going to use some stranger as a sad excuse for why you can’t find a good girl?
You should be ashamed of yourself for not taking responsibility for yourself and your own misfortunes, stop trying to blame other people. I am absolutely certain she had no direct correlation in your lack of a girlfriend.
I think it is you that owes the apology here, apology for being an ignorant individual who feels the need to put other strangers down and put blame on them for things that they have absolutely no control over.

How is this different from the TV show Survivor, we see poeple telling lies and cheating all the time to get ahead of the game. This is just a game, and it was played. Do not take this so serious.

Many women lie about abuse, to gain sympathy, and also to cover up the fact that they themselves are abusers. It happened to me, when my ex-wife abused my physically. The final abuse was to have me arrested and charged for no reason. The Canadian system always believes a woman’s story, regardless of evidence. These statistics of “1 in 4″ women being abused is ridiculous. I know many couples, and 99% of them do not abuse each other, definitely not physical.

Thank you X, you are obviously from a far superior intelligence than the researches that conducted those projects to come up with those statistics. It;s a good thing you’re here to set the record straight.
If you did a little research you would know that there is also something that people (clearly not as intelligent as you) call EMOTIONAL abuse, which can be just as damaging, if not more than physical. So please, before you go stating your facts, do the research.
I’m glad you know many couples, and what percentage of those “many couples” you claim to know make up the entire Canadian population? You must be pretty darn popular if you know that many people to come up with a legitimate census.
What your interpretation of what “many women do” is not a reflection of ALL women, or even a significant amount of women to be throwing around RIDICULOUS accusations of false statistics, so please take your frivilous comments back until you can actually produce some kind of merit to your statistic bashing.

Really? You’d like to draw that card? Because I am SURE that many girls could shed light on what many guys have done to “good girls” like them, I know I sure have my share of situations. But the difference between you and I is I don’t go blaming random strangers for the hurt caused by some guy who has hurt me. Get over it. It is not because of shit woman will do to manipulate guys and it is not about shit guys will do to get in your pants, so I fail to see how your comment is anyhow meritorous. You really want to get into this whole manipulative girl thing then how about you turn your radio to 99.9 for a morning at 8:15am and have a listen to bad boyfriend poker. Oh yes, feel free to listen to the stories women have about how they were fucked over by boyfriends/husbands, you name it (half of which could arguably be lies told to win concert tickets which clearly isn’t as upsetting to most people as this topic). And then turn around and tell me about how awful and manipulative girls are whilst being treated like shit from asshole guys.
There’s two sides to every coin, look at both sides before you come out with completely ignorant comments like that.

To all those morons on here saying how that this woman lying about being raped to win money was acceptable and condoned- you are truly vile. How about you meet with Brian Banks and tell him how it’s ok for women to lie about being raped to win money? Who’s Brian Banks? He was the future football star that was accused of rape by some gold-digging bitch -not unlike the woman who won this contest given by the pathetic excuse of a radio station. Yes, but I am sure those on here that say it’s ok to lie about rape to win money would be applauding the woman who accused Banks of rape because she didn’t just win $10,000 but actually won $1.5 million. Let’s applaud this woman, right? So what that Mr. Banks spent 6 years in prison for his “crime”. So what his life was destroyed forever. So what that his football career was taken from him. What matters is that the woman won $1.5 million for lying, right? I’m sure those applauding Krystin would be the first to berate anyone for joking about rape, yet it’s ok to joke about falsely accusing someone of rape. There have been men killed by friends of false accusers because they wanted to enact “justice” for the “rapist” even though the true criminal was the false accuser. Accusing someone of rape is as serious as rape itself. How about if the radio station had a contest to give $10,000 to the person that raped the most women? I’m sure that wouldn’t sit well with most people. No difference in giving $10,000 to someone that would lie about raping someone.

Yes, there is a huge difference because at the end of the day, she never hurt anyone with her lie. And it was only a lie about WHO it happened to, it didn’t happen to her, but it happened to her mother. Which has been pointed out multiple times. To make a comparison of that calibre is highly unfair since the 2 situations don’t even come close in both circumstances and in sum of money. What one person did was completely ill intentioned driven by the desire for money, what another did may have been driven by the desire for money but was not ill intentioned and came at know detriment to someone else.
To compare those 2 situations is like comparing a mountain to a mole hill, a highly unfair comparison.

I have been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, and I have been given less than 6 months to live. Please give me $10 000, to make my few remaining days happy.

If you’re really outraged by this, contact the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (the broadcasting regulator), and file a formal complaint against KiSS 92.5, and the two morons who hosted this egregious competition.

I don’t think any judgements should be held against KISS 92.5 for this; there is no way they could have seen something like this coming — they may have anticipated a few “white lies”, but who in their right mind would lie about something like that just for money?! She must be f*cking sick to even consider it.
When I was 17 I was raped by my boyfriend, and hearing this on air actually made me physically sick. The fact that some b*tch would like about something SO serious just to win some dumb prize makes me so upset, I don’t think I can even express just how I feel. It’s taken me YEARS to get over what happened to me, and I still haven’t fully recovered, so to all of you who think it’s “just a game”, think about all of the women (and men) out there listening who have ACTUALLY lived through a situation like this… How belittled do you think we feel knowing that some chick would joke about something that is completely debilitating to us?
Think before you speak people.

Roz, I think you said it “This game sucks sometimes”. I don’t know about anyone else but this competition breaks my heart every time and I don’t know if i can listen to it anymore. Would it not be the right thing for Kiss FM to offer some kind of help to those people, who in my opinion, are equally worthy of the prize. I am not saying give them money, but in the case of the lady with the debt problems, maybe KISS FM could put her in touch with a reputable Financial Adviser who could devise a plan to pay off her debt and at least give her some hope. Oh, and even for ‘The Asian Guy’, may be you could arrange a discount paint job from one of your car dealer advertisers. Anything and something would be better than letting these people go empty handed and dejected.

To all of you shooting out the slanderous and hateful messages at Kristyn for her mistake in lying, read this if you haven’t.
http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2012/10/12/barbara-kay-amanda-todds-death-shows-the-need-to-expose-cyberbullies/
Although the situation is different, the lesson is that words hurt. And many of the messages on here don’t convey a legitimate opinion but slander a hateful message attacking a single person. I know many people have strong opinions here but please, think twice before you attack the person who made a mistake and think of the effects of your words. They probably hurt a lot more than you think.
