A source close to Nicki Minaj has claimed that Mariah Carey fired the first shots at the Nicki on the set of American Idol earlier this week.
According to TMZ.com, the source said that Mimi called Nicki a “bitch” several times and repeatedly berated her before Nicki exploded. The source said that Nicki feels that Mariah has been wasting everyone’s time by constantly praising herself instead of concentrating on critiquing the contestants.
One source said:
“She keeps bringing up how many records she’s sold, name dropping people she’s worked with, how many tours she’s done, and how many Grammys or awards she’s won … Nicki is tired of it.”

Nicki responded via twitter:

Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho. Lol @ the struggle. Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence barbz.

Now Nicki is facing a serious backlash over social media! People are saying she is irrelevant and has no business being in the same room as Mariah because Mariah is a legend.
Now, there’s no denying Carey’s talent as well as Minaj’s.
Let me give you some perspective though.
Minaj’s 2 albums 2010′s Pink Friday and 2012′s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded have sold 1,744,000 and 640,000 copies respectively.
Also, in the past two years Minaj has had 7 songs in the top 10. Superbass, Starships, Bottoms Up, Make Me Proud, Dance Ass, Give Me All Your LOVE, and Turn Me On.
Mariah on the other hand has only had one track hit the top 10 since 2009 when Obssessed hit number 7. Meanwhile, Carey’s last two albums 2010′s ’Merry Christmas II You’ and 2009′s ’Memoirs Of An Imprefect Angel’ have sold a total of 1,000,000 copies combined.
Both artists have tremendous talent. One thing is for sure though, American Idol’s ratings will be the real winner if producers can find a way to keep both of these superstars from leaving.
Chris Brown confirms breakup with Karrueche Tran was over Rihanna!
Now, we could say that the demise of the relationship began when Chris Brown was spotted at a NYC club grinding up on Rihanna last weekend. That would be naïve of us. Brown and Rihanna’s sightings and interactions in the past 6 months have been ambiguous to say the least.
Well, Karrueche took to Twitter earlier this week, writing subliminally:
“Life is too short to be anything but happy.”
Hours later, Chris then tweeted:
“Happiness is the one thing I’m never guaranteed….. How can U expect me to guarantee yours?”
The subliminal tweets continued with Karrueche tweeting:
“There’s a difference between a man and a boy. I prefer men”
When one of her followers responded, “Let it go for your own good girl.” She tweeted back, “Oh Baby I am.”
Then, last night Tran tweeted “Bye baby.”
Guess that was it because Brown released a statement confirming they were done and Rihanna had a hand in the breakup.
“I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna,”
He continued: “I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.”
