Rob Zombie was made for Midnight Madness at TIFF…
The heavy metal rock star-turned-film-director always has the amp on 11. Zombieheads, as his followers are known, were out in full force at TIFF to see the premier of his new Shock horror film THE LORDS OF SALEM.
Damnit Maurie sat down with Rob Zombie to talk boobs, horror, whats going on in his head and more…watch the full headcam interview after the jump.
(Viewer discretion is advised as there is some strong language)
Rock star-turned-horror maven Rob Zombie conjures up a nerve-wracking chiller involving Heidi (Sheri Moon Zombie), a radio station DJ, who receives a wooden box containing a record, “a gift from the Lords.” Heidi listens and the bizarre sounds within the grooves immediately trigger flashbacks of Salem’s violent past. Is Heidi going mad or are the Lords of Salem returning for revenge on modern day Salem?

This was the absolute BEST interview I have ever seen with Rob Zombie. He was so relaxed and opened up just like he was talking to a friend. Usually he seems guarded and somewhat annoyed. This was a real treat! Kudos to Damnit Maurie for bringing out the best in one of the most brilliant minds in film and music.
LOVED THIS!
