Last night was the Superbowl of Red Carpets. It didn’t matter where you were in the city…you were bound to bump into a celebrity…if you wanted to!
Let me break it down…
Ben Affleck, John Goodman and Bryan Cranston all walked the carpet at Roy Thompson for Argo. Allan Arkin also stopped by to talk to us…but I have no idea why? He clearly didn’t want to be on the carpet and didn’t want to talk to us! I think at one point I just said thank you I’m done and thank you for your time (even if stars are rude..I’m always nice). Ben really did want to work the carpet! He’s always gracious and takes the time to chat! His superstar wife Jennifer Garner and BFF Matt Damon were also in town to support Ben but Matt didn’t walk the carpet and Jen sprinted by us in heels while we were talking to Bryan Cranston! Down the street from us was Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes and Bradley Cooper at the Princess of Wales for The Place Beyond the Pines. There were sooooo many screaming fans of Ryan’s – mostly women. His driver went around the block 4 times before dropping him off….by the 4th time fans literally jumped on top of Ryan’s vehicle for a glimpse or an autograph from him. After the flick the cast including the Mr. Cooper and Ryan Gosling headed to AME with Eva Mendes wearing her sexy silver lace Dolce and Gabana…there was no wearing spanx in that outift. You either got the body to fit in it or you don’t! Eva clearly does!
Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens worked the carpet over at Ryerson! Some fans had been waiting since the wee hours in the morning to meet them and they did not disappoint. They tried to say hi and take pics with as many fans as they could before going in for their premiere of Springbreakers.
Things were more civilized over at the Elgin where Kiera Knightly and Jude Law walked the Red Carpet for Anna Karenina. Jude didn’t really have a late night last night…he’s got a big day ahead of him. He’s hosting an event today with Paul Haggis. It’s the APJ luncheon ( Artists for Peace & Justice). Trudie Styler is co-hosting the event
So who were the stars who were game for the after parties! Well…Julianne Moore, Alexander Skarsgard, Elle Fanning and Christina Hendricks were at AMC Storys, on Duncan. Ms. Julianne was spotted also at the Shangri La hotel and even made some time to stop at “THE” hotspot the Soho house. This is the place to spot A listers during TIFF! So who else was spotted there last night? Ready for the list! Kristen Wiig, Natasha Lyonne, Darren Criss and Trudie Styler enjoyed post-flick Grey Goose cocktails to celebrate the world premiere of their film Imogene. Before hitting the red carpet for the gala presentation of The Master, Amy Adams and Ambyr Childers took time to relax with some friends on the second floor of the club. Following the North American premiere of Anna Karenina, Jude Law, Keira Knightley and Aaron Taylor-Johnson and director Joe Wright. The Late Night Lounge was the late night hot spot with Alexander Skarsgard.
In between the red carpet madness I was able to check out NKPR’s IT Lounge Portrait Studio Presenting Patrick Demarchelier. He was there for one day and we had to see him in action! Patrick is a star in the fashion world. His name is even brought up in the movie The Devil wears Prada by Meryl Streep.
Gotta go now…in 2 hours I’ll be on the Hotel Transylvania carpet with Selena Gomez and fingers crossed Andy Samberg! love it! So need to do hair and makeup. Maybe I can crash the Murale TIFF suite? Celeb hairstlyist Sally Hershberger is there? Hmm who’s name can drop to get in?!
Have you had any star sightings? Let us know!!
The hot spots tonite are Ritz Carlton for the Hello Party, Soho house and Cheval. oh and also Brassaii seems to be hosting tons of celebs…so head over there. You won’t get in but at least you can stargaze!
