Yup … both will perform as part of the annual NFL Kickoff live from Rockefeller Plaza before the New York Giants take on the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The hour long show will air on Wednesday, September 5 at 7:30 EST on NBC.

Pink is back with her latest single, “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” and the song was almost called, “Let’s Throw In The Towel.” However, Pink told Billboard that she knew she had to go in a different direction since she was coming back after having a baby.

She said:

“I felt like I was in this video and I collected all the gold coins and talismans you could collect – I had to either move to the next level or quit. There’s this whole techno takeover going on right now that just does my head in, and I knew if I didn’t want to do that. I’d rather dance around and sing goofy songs.”

“Several staffers told TMZ … the talk in the building is that Strahan — who played in the NFL and won a Super Bowl ring — will be announced as the co-host.

Strahan’s rep was seen outside the building on 67th and Columbus a short time ago grinning from ear to ear.

Strahan tried out for the gig in June and apparently impressed the suits.”
