Did Nicki Minaj flip out on twitter haters?
Yup.
Let’s give you the backstory. Last week Nicki defied doctor’s orders for vocal rest and performed on The Today Show. But, then she pulled out of a Saturday performance at V Festival in England. Fans were less than pleased and tweeted her with hate.
Nicki then addressed her detractors in a series of tweets.
“I am so thankful to my true fans who understand WHY I couldn’t play #VFestival & WHY I can’t play Dublin. Absolutely gutted.”
“I was in jeopardy of losing my voice entirely and needing surgery on my vocal chord. If u can’t understand that, your mother’s a WHORE!!!!”
“I will NOT let you people make me feel horrible for a fucking HEALTH issue! That’s what got me in this mess! I shldve listened 2 the doctor!”
“Like people are hitting me telling me I shldve mimed. No! Then you woulda made a fucking STORY out of that too! #killyafuckingself”
“My beloved United Kingdom, u know how much I fucking love u! Ireland, I truly appreciate you. Barbz, thnku for the well wishes.”
“All you do is rip people apart and when they’re dead & gone u won’t lose a wink of sleep. #goFuckYourselves”
Not going to lie … there was probably a better way to handle that situation.
Now, sticking with Nicki news but on a more positive note … is Nicki Minaj set to join Idol as it’s newest judge?
According to Us Weekly, YES!
Us apparently has TWO independent sources who say the deal is done. The first source says Nicki’s “100 per cent confirmed,” while the second source says:
“I’m not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it. A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening.”
Well, if Nicki’s twitter tirade is any indication of what Idol can expect, I think they’ve finally found someone who could fill Simon Cowell’s shoes.
Does Carly Rae Jepsen have a new man?
Ummm … no … but yes … but mostly no.
See, People magazine is reporting Carly Rae has been dating musician Matthew Koma for the past year! How are we just finding out about this now?!?!
