Selena Gomez was booted from Facebook last week for impersonating…….. herself? Huh?? Well sort of…
After we learned last week that nearly 1 in 10 of all Facebook users are fake, the company decided to clean up the site and in the process, banned Selena Gomez.
During the crackdown to delete the fake accounts, Facebook accidentally suspended innocent users.
Including an 18 yr old girl from New Mexico named Selena Gomez.
TMZ reported that Gomez signed into her account Wednesday only a few seconds before it was shut down for “inauthenticity”. Employees allegedly mistook Gomez for an impersonator of the actress and singer. Could you imagine being told you’re an imposter trying to be……… you??
She specifically says on her page that she is NOT the “famous Selena Gomez”
Gomez’s account has since been restored and the confusion shall no doubt continue…
