Earlier this week, rumours started to swirl that the newly single Katy Perry may be hooking up with serial celeb date John Mayer, and it looks like the paparazzi have managed to grab some proof!

The photo above was snapped by the paparazzi in LA last night, when Perry and Mayer were returning to their vehicle after a date at the Chateau Marmont.

The Chateau Marmont is a notorious celeb hangout in LA, and is not the spot you visit if you’re trying to keep a relationship quiet.

Us Weekly is reporting that Perry, 27, and Mayer, 34, were getting romantic at dinner. A source claims they were holding hands across the table, stealing smooches and laughing.

They may not be a couple yet, but that’s all the proof you need to say that they’re definitely hooking up!
