Despite the 3rd Men In Black movie receiving less than favorable reviews, it has made $175 Million at theatres. Which is the driving force behind the announcement that a 4th installment is on the way…Columbia Pictures president Doug Belgrad told The Hollywood Reporter, “We’re very pleased with the financial performance of Men in Black 3, and we believe it is an ongoing franchise. We’re going to do (another one), but we don’t have clarity yet on how it should be done.”
Which sounds about right considering that the script for MIB3 wasn’t even finished when they started filming…
The MIB franchise has done pretty well making over $615 Million in worldwide box office sales.
Will Smith will return for the 4th film.
