It’s not hard to make a bed, and it doesn’t take more than a minute … but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t look for complicated technical solutions to the problem of an un-made bed.
The Smart Bed OHEA Automatico is a mechanical bed designed by Spanish firm OHEA, which makes itself whenever you get out. After being put in automatic mode, the bed detects when a sleeper gets out and instantly springs into action.
Mechanical arms pop up on each side of the bed and position the blanket neatly where it should be while the pillows are lifted and then placed back down into position, all in 50 seconds.
Makers say the bed – which is due to be released soon – has safety feature which ensure it cannot operate when there is a person lying there.
