Time magazine caused quite the stir last week when the magazine used a cover photograph to accompany a story on attachment parenting that featured a mother breastfeeding her 3-year-old son. The mom, Jamie Lynne Grumet, joined Roz & Mocha for an exclusive chat about breastfeeding and the magazine cover photo.
Many members of the media reacted to the cover photograph. “View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck said, “if you can spell milk, you shouldn’t be breastfeeding,” in reaction to the cover.
During his signature “Really!?!” segment, Seth Meyers wondered why Time magazine would select such a controversial cover ahead of Mother’s Day.
“Really, Time magazine!?” Meyers asked. “This is the image you went with for Mother’s Day? Look, I have nothing against breastfeeding, but there are more appropriate places to breastfeed your kid than the cover of Time magazine.”
He added, “Really—this photo doesn’t say ‘I’m a loving mother feeding my son.’ It says ‘I’m the crazy queen from Game of Thrones.’”

lol i heard the interview, i dont believe this is candid as she claims, however, i dont find it provocative either, it is a older child sucking a boob, i never breast fed and am happy to say my kids are all normal healthy kids, so it is what it is, and bravo to time for finding the woman to do this, i bet the made a lot of money so keep buying and complaing, its only making them richer…

Put it in a damm cup! Your kids is past the nipple stage.. Does the mother even care on how this kid sucking his moms tit will scar him for the rest of his life? This kid should take a pic of his grandma sticking her nipple in his moms mouth!

I listened and could not believe how ignorant this mother sounds like and they say the IQ should be higher if you breast-feed longer (she was breastfed until she turned six). Hmmmm Anyway, it was her responsibility as a mother to say ‘no, I will not expose my child to the world like this’. She could have held him like she does at home, but noooooooo the magazine wanted to make money and she was hungry for publicity. She is not promoting breastfeeding but the longer you breast-feed the better. Why? It is a personal thing and who cares how long anybody breast-feeds. Keep it for yourself. I cannot believe your husband was ok with this shot as well. The magazine, sorry to say this, is promoting child pornography. I feel sorry for this child.

Like really? Who cares how long she breast feed her kids? We should be more concerned about people neglecting their children moreso than giving this story another thought.
