So a guy comes in and robs your store. You then run out of the store to give him a bag of money that he left behind. Fair to assume that you’re in on the robbery? Well this CVS employee was…
A store employee and two accomplices are in custody in connection with two armed robberies of a CVS outside of Washington DC.
CVS is much like a Shoppers Drug Mart for those unfamiliar with the store.
Fenton Graham, his girlfriend Michelle Allison and the girlfriend’s father, 53-year-old Michael Cooke were all arrested and charged following the robberies in February.
The first robbery took place on Feb. 6 around 2:50 a.m. The second was on Feb. 13 around 1:30 a.m.
Graham, employed as a supervisor at the CVS was working in the store during both robberies, according to police.
In the first incident, Michael Cooke entered the CVS, acknowledged Graham and another employee, then pulled out a handgun. He struck the other employee, a 39-year-old man, in the face with the gun, then ordered Graham to tie up the employee and place money from the registers into a duffle bag.
Cooke left the CVS on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The injured employee was taken to a local hospital with a laceration to his mouth, police said.
Cooke returned to the store a week later, this time posing as a customer before pulling out a handgun and demanding cash. He again fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and was seen getting into a car.
Detectives noticed Graham’s presence in both robberies and became suspicious after the surveillance video showed that Graham carried the bag of money outside to Cooke after he forgot it, police said.
Graham was arrested on Feb. 14 and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a violent felony, and theft. His next scheduled court date is April 14.
Police determined that Michael Cooke, Graham’s girlfriend’s father, was the suspect who committed the robberies. They tracked him down in Las Vegas, and U.S. Marshals arrested Cooke on April 2.
Michelle Allison, Graham’s girlfriend and Cooke’s daughter, was also arrested and has been charged with obstructing and hindering the investigation.
