Sad news Directioners…

This afternoon, Harry Styles from One Direction announced on his twitter account that his band mate Zayn Malik is going to be leaving the One Direction tour after suffering a loss in the family.

“Zayn has suffered a loss in his family & has had to go home for a few days so won’t be at our next shows in the US…” He adds: “…Our thoughts are with him and his family at this sad time.”

A trending topic, “#StayStrongZayn,” has been created in his honor by Directioners across the world.

Malik’s only indirect mention of the loss came as a retweet from a fan: “God has no Phone, but I talk to him. He has no Facebook, but he is still my friend. He does not have a twitter, but I still follow him. ♥”

This news comes only a couple days after Cash Conners had the opportunity to speak with One Direction backstage at the ACC before their sold out show at the ACC…
