Well 2011 was up and down for Bieber. Mostly up but according to Mariah Yeater it was both up and down for about 30 seconds. Videos + pics and more after the jump.

Let’s start with the release of his part-biopic, part-concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never 3D. KiSS 92.5 had the Purple Carpet Premiere right here in Toronto.

The film was released on February 11 and grossed almost $31.1 million.

Justin released a remix album, Never Say Never – The Remixes, on the tail of his movie release. It hit stores on Valentine’s Day and featured remixed songs from Justin’s debut album with guest appearances from: Miley Cyrus, Chris Brown, and Kanye West.

Also in February, Bieber was up for the Grammy for Best New Artist. He lost to Esperanza Spalding which caused social media Belieber outrage. Justin responded via twitter in a mature manner.

Like he said, awards will come later. That night was about performing with his mentor … and Biebs killed it.

On November 1, Bieber released a Christmas album ‘Under the Mistletoe’. This was his second studio album and debuted at number one.

Bieber is currently recording his third studio album entitled, Believe. Meahwhile, Justin was named the most searched person on Google. He beat Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian for the title.

As far as his love life, after months of speculation Justin and Selena Gomez finally confirmed their relationship by attending the Vanity Fair Oscar party together.

They then presented together at the Billboard Music Awards where Justin playfully pretended to ask Selena out on a date. After Selena faced social media threats from die-hard “Beliebers,” Justin and Selena’s relationship had to face another hurdle — a paternity scandal. In November, a young lady by the name of Mariah Yeater claimed that her baby was Justin’s.

The paternity suit is still ongoing but Mariah claimed that her and Justin had relations in a bathroom backstage after one of his concerts. After Mariah’s ex-boyfriend came forward and claimed that the baby was his, the allegations seemed to die down, however, the case is still reportedly ongoing.

Perhaps the biggest blow to “Beliebers” was the cutting of Justin’s notorious coif.

The singer has gone through several updates to his haircut this year and actually raised $40,668 for charity after Ellen DeGeneres auctioned off a chunk of his hair on Ebay. The hair is currently making photo stops around the country.
