Christmas Eve:
- GO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule
- TTC will operate on a Saturday schedule
- Most banks will be open, but only until the early afternoon
- Most LCBO and Beer Stores will be open but closing at 6 p.m.
- Toronto Eaton Centre, Fairview Mall, Square One, Vaughan Mills and Pacific Mall will remain open, but close early
- Grocery stores generally open until 6 p.m.
Christmas Day:
- GO Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule
- TTC will operate on a Sunday schedule
- LCBO and The Beer Store will be closed
- Malls and most stores closed (Pacific Mall will remain open)
- Some movie theatres and restaurants open
- Grocery stores closed
- Banks and government offices closed
Boxing Day:
- GO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule
- TTC will operate on a holiday schedule
- Most LCBO and Beer Stores will be closed
- Banks and government offices will be closed
- Shopping malls will be open for one of their biggest shopping days of the year
- Most grocery stores will be open
New Year’s Eve:
- GO Transit will operate with late-night service
- Most LCBO and Beer Stores will be open but closing at 6 p.m.
- Most malls will remain open until 6 p.m.
- Most banks open until 3 p.m.
- Most grocery stores open until 6 p.m.
- Most movie theatres will remain open
New Year’s Day:
- TTC will operate on a Sunday schedule
- Banks and government offices will be closed
- GO Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule
- LCBO and Beer Stores will be closed
- Most grocery stores will remain closed
- Tourist destinations like the Ontario Science Centre, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Art Gallery, the Toronto Zoo and the CN Tower will remain open (although the 360 Restaurant will be closed)
- Most movie theatres will remain open
- Several malls, including the Eaton Centre, Vaughan Mills and the Pacific Mall will be open but close early
- Square One will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
