Lady Gaga will be celebrating Christmas in Japan this year. She told MTV that she will be celebrating with her Little Monsters there. After the jump, find out what she’ll be having instead of turkey.

Lady Gaga said:

“Well I’ll be in Japan right up until Christmas day. So I’ll be eating with all my Japanese Little Monsters. I like shabu shabu.”

Shabu Shabu is a Japanese variant of hot pot. The name Shabu Shabu is derived from the “swish swish” sound of cooking the meat in the pot. The dish is related to sukiyaki in style, in that both use thinly sliced meat and vegetables and are usually served with dipping sauces, but it is considered to be more savory and less sweet than sukiyaki.

This must be killing Gaga to be spending Christmas away from New York and family traditions. It’s a well known fact that Christmas is Gaga’s favourite time of year.
