Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed that he fathered a child with a longtime female member of his household staff more than a decade ago.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Arnold’s estranged wife Maria Shriver moved out of the couple’s home earlier this year after Schwarzenegger confirmed the paternity. The employee reportedly retired in January after 20 years with the family.

Arnold said in a statement:

“After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry. I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not. “

Maria released this statement:

“This is a painful and heartbreaking time. As a mother, my concern is for the children.”

No kidding.

Schwarzenegger also said he financially provided for the child. Schwarzenegger and Shriver have four children together.

I guess that kid can finally answer the question “Who is your daddy and what does he do?”
