On Friday (May 13th), Rihanna sent the Internet into a frenzy when she decided to follow her ex, Chris Brown on Twitter. Chris then decided to follow her back. According to Mediatakeout.com, a source said that they two sent out approximately 12 direct messages to each other. 

A fan decided to comment on Ri Ri’s decision to follow Chris — who physically assaulted her back in 2009.

The fan wrote to Rihanna:

“I never thought you would go back to him! You better not, it’s your life but you do have ppl that look up to you.”

Rihanna responded:

“its f***in twitter, not the alter. calm down.”

The fan apologized and Rihanna later apologized, since the girl was reportedly only 14.

She wrote:

“babygirl I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt or offend u! Just needed to make it clear to the Navy [Rihanna fans nickname]…xoxo”
