Ke$ha

The battle between Ke$ha and her ex-management company is heating up. The firm already filed a $14 million lawsuit against the singer, alleging Ke$ha agreed to pay DAS Communications 20 percent of her earnings if it brokered a major label deal within a year. Now the company wants to fast-track the process just in case Ke$ha’s career goes sour.

According to the New York Post, DAS Communications claims in new court paspers that Ke$ha “is a very young and inexperienced artist whose ‘star’ may not continue to rise . . . Although she has made an incredible amount of money in a very short period of time, in large part due to DAS’ efforts on her behalf, she could just as easily lose money if not properly guided.”

Shortly after DAS sued Ke$ha last year, the singer filed a countersuit alleging she had every right in their deal to end the business relationship. She also claimed her manager acted as an “illegal talent agent.”

Hit songwriter Dr. Luke convinced Ke$ha to part ways with DAS in September 2008 and sign with RCA/Jive.
