Drake has revealed that his mom took his fake Twitter marriage to Nicki Minaj seriously last month. Drizzy told People Magazine:

“My mom was actually like, ‘What happened? How did you elope?’ But we were just joking around. I never thought it would get so out of hand.”

Drake added that around the same time of the wedding tweets, he got a new ring for himself — which didn’t help the rumor to die down. He said:

“Ironically, I got a ring for myself, so people were like, ‘Aw, you got married, and you have a ring you’re wearing.”
