Twitter was going crazy yesterday with reports that super-producer Timbaland was under suicide watch.

The man who produced hits for Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliott, Nelly Furtado & Keri Hilson had $2 million worth of jewely stolen from his Malibu home. 

According to TMZ.com, law enforcement sources said that the producer’s family believed he was so distraught over losing an expensive Jacob & Co. watch — that he would harm himself. The site also reported that the producer expected that it might have been someone he trusted.

Timbaland reportedly left his home on Tuesday and took a drive. His family because worried because they couldn’t locate him around 8pm and called the police. The site said helicopters located Timbo’s Escalade; ground crew pulled him over and began talking to him. At some point, the put him in a patrol car and took him home.

Deputies called for the paramedics to come and evaluate the producer. After the evaluations, they determined that he was not a threat to himself and left.

Timbaland called into a radio show yesterday and confirmed that someone stole something from him and he was very upset about it — but he didn’t try to kill himself. He said that he took a drive to clear his head, when someone got a little too worried about him and called the cops.
