Then, Jennifer Lopez was the talk of the town to be the new judge. Well that’s not happening now. An insider tells People magazine that the deal has been scrapped, adding, “Her demands got out of hand. Fox had just had enough.”

Who else could fill the empty chairs? Nick Cannon thinks his wife, Mariah Carey, would be a good choice. He told Hollywood Reporter that Carey talks about it and says she’d “love” to do it.
